The Skylight Public Map is a login-free version of Skylight that can be accessed without creating a user account. In line with our mission to make AI accessible for the common good, the Public Map allows the public to interact with our user interface, explore key features, and learn how AI can support ocean conservation efforts. The Skylight Public Map can be accessed on smartphones.

This version is intended solely as a demonstration tool. It is not suitable for analytical or operational use and does not support regular Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) monitoring. To ensure no sensitive data is shared publicly, the Skylight Public Map also includes key safeguards:

• The dataset is limited to public satellite-based vessel detections (dark and AIS-correlated) and does not include AIS-based vessel positions or movements.
• All data is delayed by 48 hours compared to logged-in access, which contains real-time data.

These limitations help protect government agencies using Skylight at the operational level via restricted, logged-in access, while still allowing the public to explore the technology and understand its potential to support ocean conservation.
